This comprehensive implant training program is aimed at dental surgeons of all specialties who have limited or no experience with dental implants who would like to begin practicing implants. This program is based on the school of thought that a sound theoretical knowledge and development of psychomotor skills is essential to become proficient in any field of dentistry.
The comprehensive program is also designed accordingly, wherein the participants are taken through a series of lectures which increases their scientific base. Hands-on training provides them with the necessary skills to handle patients confidently. The participants are then given cases that they plan and execute completely. Attendees will learn the theoretical basics and practical procedures for implant placement and restoration.

The participant leaves with complete knowledge of handling a case from start to an end.


Implant course objectives:


  • Develop a dental implant treatment plan.
  • Prepare the surgical site for the placement of a dental implant.
  • Select and place the optimal dental implant type for the surgical site.

  • Select the correct prosthetic components for dental implant restoration.
  • Take impressions for prostheses.
  • Design the dental implant retained cemented prostheses.

The basic implant program is a 4 month program.

  • Patient evaluation and Patient Preparation for implant surgery
  • Diagnosis & treatment planning in Implantology
  • Systemic disease and oral implants
  • Basic pharmacology limited to implantology
  • Pre-implant prosthetic planning
  • Radiographic evaluation and planning with cbct
  • Bone and soft tissue assessment and prosthetic options

  • Module 2 (Surgical / clinical Phase):

    • Introduction to armamentarium
    • Surgical principles for implant surgery
    • Placement of 2 implants by participants on patients (Cost of implant to be borne by participant)
  • Module 3 (Prosthetic phase):

    • Prosthetic components
    • Implant exposure (uncovery)
    • Superstructure (Healing and Final Abutment) Selection & Fixation:
    • Implant impressions
    • Prosthetic instrumentation
    • Hands on demonstration, patient work by participants

  • Module 4

    • Delivery of the prosthesis
    • Case discussion
    • Interactive session
  • Lab Exercises

    • Making landmarks of maxilla and mandible in OPG
    • Diagnostic wax up / making surgical stent
    • Hands on training of implant placement on mandibles
    • Preparation of provisional restoration

  • Live Demonstrations

    • Live surgical demonstration of implant
